Saturday Afternoon Supervised Sailing

    Open to both teenagers and adults, Supervised Afternoon Sailing sessions offer:

  1. An ideal next step after learning to sail;
  2. A great “refresher” if you want to brush-up your dinghy sailing skills after some time away from sailing;
  3. The ideal way to make the transition into Dinghy Racing
  4. A great way to build up logged sailing hours to count towards qualification for higher courses

They also offer a reduced cost opportunity to get more practice on the water, even for those who may feel unsure of how to properly rig their boat!

Open to members and non-members, supervision will be from a qualified instructor who will tailor each session around those taking part. Help rigging and launching, setting out some buoys or even an introduction to basic racing will all be possible, according to those taking part.

To be eligible to attend, adults and teenagers (aged 12 and over) need to have passed an HKSF Level 2 Course or equivalent, or have similar experience. This activity is NOT open to Optimist sailors. Numbers on each session are limited, advance booking is essential.

Participants meet at 1.15pm at Middle Island (so take the 1pm club ferry); we finish around 4.30pm
