This is the event that marks the opening of the Hong Kong sailing season. It’s held annually on the first or second weekend in September and is open to boats of all types and sizes, from the smallest dinghy to the largest, fastest, race boat.

In recent years, a seperate Dinghy Race area has been established to cater for growing numbers of participants. The 2009 race saw 151 entrants spread across 8 divisions, with 59 Dinghies in Division A and 27 Optimists. The 2010 event promises higher numbers of entrants and for the first time ever 3 dinghy divisions.
